The website classifies the terms "big data" and "data mining", explains in the form of infographics who collects data and for which occasions it is collected ("Your day in data") and describes useful applications ("automatic detection of credit card theft") and more questionable ones, such as when analysis programs evaluate masses of data and thus endanger privacy and see connections where there are none.

Die Website ordnet die Begriffe „Big Data“ und „Data Mining“ ein, erklärt in Form von Infografiken, wer Daten sammelt und zu welche Anlässen sie gesammelt werden („Dein Tag in Daten“) und beschreibt nützliche Anwendungen („automatische Erkennung von Kreditkartendiebstahl“) und bedenklichere, etwa wenn Analyseprogramme massenhaft Daten auswerten und damit die Privatsphäre gefährden sowie Zusammenhänge sehen, wo keine sind.
